In our everyday lives, we often need to demonstrate tutorials by recording our phone’s screen. Nowadays, there are many tools and apps available to record an iPhone’s screen, but the iPhone itself has a built-in feature that allows you to record the screen with a single tap. Imagine being able to record the iPhone’s screen with sound. Yes, you read that correctly ― with a few simple steps, you can record both the screen and sound simultaneously. This feature is incredibly useful for creating tutorials, demonstrating apps, or sharing gameplay footage. In this guide, I will show you how to record your iPhone’s screen with sound.
Follow these steps to get started:
1. Enable Screen Recording in Control Center:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and tap on “Control Center”.
- Tap on “Customize Controls”.
- Under “More Controls”, find “Screen Recording” and tap the green plus button (+) next to it to add it to your Control Center. You can drag it up or down to rearrange its position.
2. Start Screen Recording:
- Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen (or swipe up from the bottom if you’re using an iPhone with a Home button) to access the Control Center.
- Tap the Screen Recording icon, which looks like a circle with a dot inside it. If you press and hold on the icon, you’ll see an option to turn on/off Microphone Audio. Make sure it’s enabled if you want to record sound along with the screen.
3. Confirm Recording:
- After tapping the Screen Recording icon, you’ll see a countdown of 3 seconds. During this time, you can close the Control Center and navigate to the screen you want to record.
4. Stop Recording:
- To stop recording, tap the red status bar at the top of the screen. Alternatively, you can return to the Control Center and tap the Screen Recording icon again.
- A confirmation prompt will appear asking if you want to stop recording. Tap “Stop” to confirm.
5. Access Your Recording:
- Once you stop recording, a notification will appear. Tap on it to view your recording or go to the Photos app.
- Your screen recording will be saved as a video file in the Photos app. From there, you can edit, share, or delete it as needed.
Note:
- Keep in mind that some apps or parts of the operating system may restrict screen recording due to security or copyright reasons.
- If you’re recording content with copyrighted material, make sure you have the necessary permissions to do so.
- Screen recording may not capture system sounds, such as keyboard clicks or interface sounds. To record those, you’ll need to enable Microphone Audio as described in step 2.
